Must-have songs you listen to when getting ready to go out: I like so many different styles of music that I am likely to be listening to ANYTHING. My current playlist includes tunes from popular artists like Adele, Evanescence, and Within Temptation to more obscure stuff from Tarja and Poe. But you can usually bet at some point I am going to end up listening to Lies of the Beautiful People by Sixx A.M.
Favorite place to people watch: I love watching people at the FedExForum during the Memphis Tiger Games because you are guaranteed to see the Who’s Who of Memphis in attendance.
Best place for a date night: My husband and I like to go to the Hi-Tone to watch some good old fashioned burlesque. We also enjoy listening to live music at The Spot in Hernando, MS or the Fill’n Station in Southaven. At the moment we really like the new Memphis band Unkle Daddy.
Best place to go with your girlfriends: We usually end up a Swanky’s or Chili’s because we can have food & a few drinks without having to go to a bar.
Best brunch spot: Fratelli’s in the Garden (at Memphis Botanic Gardens) they offer a different kind of menu and what girl doesn’t want to be surrounded by art & flowers! I ALWAYS order the “Ile de France”, a sandwich made with Turkey, Brie & Pear slices.
One must-see place in your current town (& WHY): The Memphis Zoo – one of the things Memphis has definitely done right. I can take just about anybody with me and have a great time. They also hosts a lot of unique after-hours events. Besides who doesn’t like the zoo?

This past weekend on the 25th, we held our first Local Love Sunday! The in-store event will be on the last Sunday of every month and feature a different local artist each time.
For our first round of local love, we featured our dear friend Ashley. Creative mind behind Hustle & Sew, Ashley is a crocheting fiend! From cupcakes, to rings, to purses and even ‘brass’ knuckles, Hustle & Sew is a growing brand that will continue to explore mediums and produce adorable items.
Our shoppers loved the gifts she had to offer! (& we may have picked up one or two things for ourselves ;] )
We had too much fun (as always) playing dress-up with all our customers!
Heather & Chelsea Bugg of LadyBugg Bakery in Hernando, MS are suckers for pin-up! Here they are modeling new HELL BUNNY dresses!
